There must be something in the Yorkshire air that is bringing that extra out of its sports people this month. Bradford slay the mighty Chelsea, not to mention Liverpool (probably a lesser feat) and seem destined to appear at Wembly (twice). Hallam Grange C have walked off with the Winter League knockout cup. No mean feat this as its normally the domain of the bigger clubs. So hearty congratulations to Chris and her Team for a really excellent Winter campaign. Congrats also to Dave R and the D team who trampled under foot all around them and have managed a promotion in their first season (tbc by Dave). Sadly the A team could not match these exploits and look like finally leaving their division in the wrong direction. Not sure about Micks marauders (B Team), i am hoping they maintained their position.
Well done to all for supporting your teams. |

Yes, it is true the triumphant Hallam Grange 'D' team ('z' was unavailable) thrashed all in sight in the mighty starting league of division 3!! Praise must go to Emily for being the true organiser of the team but at least the men never dropped a set eh Em??
It was great to note that after I hard work and dedication they have now dropped division 3 so we could have just waited a year!! At least we get to keep the cup though!! |
