Its nice to see that the singles ladder matches have now broke through the 200 mark which shows how popular it has been! Although it doesn't seem a minute since Leo was enthusiastically trying to set it up and drum up support for it in 'Grange bar' just over a year ago.
Hopefully now those players who have had a good rest will come back refreshed and ready to start challanging (although I exclude Dave Roberts from this who has been resting so long he is now technically in hibernation!!). |

The wit that Mr Bagnall shows is that of a relieved man. How he will cower and tremble when I make my glorious comeback to the Singles ladder in November .................2011!!! |

| Much though it hurts to agree with a die hard Blade i have to agree that the Ladder idea has really taken off and has proven healthy competition, an attraction for new members and something that will get people playing. To build on this we aim to run a Masters Event for the top 8 players at the end of March. This will provide a target to aim for and will hopefully only build on the success of the ladder. Well done Leo. Guess those resting better get their fingers out if they want to get into the qualification positions. I suspect my interest will be restricted to running the bar on finals weekend!! |
